From 17 to 22 May 2016, Georgian wheelchair fencing athletes of the Parasport Development Centre of Tbilisi participated in the Wheelchair Fencing European Championships, held in the city of Casale, Italy, where the Georgian fencer Irma Khetsuriani took the second place (sabre, category B), and fencer Diana Jishiashvili took the third place (epee, category C).
