In November 7-11, 2014, Georgian fencing athletes of the Parasport Development Centre of Tbilisi, Irma Khetsuriani, Roman Abashidze, Aleko Gitolendia and Temur Dadiani participated (100% funded by Tbilisi City Hall) in Poland Open Wheelchair Fencing Championship held in the city of Warsaw, Poland. Fencer Irma Khetsuriani took the second place (sword) and the third place (foil) and Roman Abashidze took the sixth place (foil). Achieved results are high rates for Georgian sportsmen whereas the Polish wheelchair fencing team is one of the strongest as per the rate indicators in the world.
